HOW TO USE

2 Divers : The persons who trained in the use of scuba equipment (open water certification) or trained in the use of the waterproof pad.
2-4 Assistants : Moving products and delivering it to them to outside of ship (using ropes).
Minimum number of people required:

Determine the exact location and size of the puncture and the amount of seawater entering the vessel.

If it is determined that conventional sealing equipment will fail or cannot be used to seal the puncture area due to large amounts of seawater entering the area, immediately evacuate the crew and others in the cabin from the area and close the cabin hatch to minimize seawater entering the ship.

Divers put on their scuba gear and check it for abnormalities.

At the same time, the assistant get the waterproof pad product out from the storage box and moves it to location near the puncture site in preparation for delivery to the diver at the surface (at this point, preparing more than one per size can save time when making changes for trial and error at the puncture site).

Before entering the water, The person in charge should to check the ship's engine already stopped and the weather conditions to ensure safe work.

Divers must check the size of the hole and remove foreign objects around the hole with non-spark hand scrapers. Divers are required to remove foreign objects in the area which will be the installation point for the waterproof pad, approximately 1.5 meters.

Assistant lowers the waterproof pad product with the magnetic portion not facing away from the ship's iron plate (handle inward) to prevent the magnet from sticking to the ship's iron plate when the product is delivered to the outside of the ship's iron plate.

The diver attaches the supplied waterproof pad to the hole and checks for adhesion (also checks for debris removal).

When the diver has finished working, secure the loop attached to the waterproof pad to a vessel fixture such as a bit to prevent loss of the Pad.

After installing the waterproof pad, you can operate at speeds up to 20 knots, but it is recommended that you return to port for repairs.

Sail at a speed of 10 knots to 15 knots when returning to port and have an observer to detect pad dislodgement. (Observe from a distance of at least 10 meters as bow direction from the product attachment point).

Seawater that enters the cabin in the area of the hole during or after returning to port is removed by draining it outside using a pump. In the case of the STANDARD TYPE, it is a product designed to allow welding to be carried out directly inside the vessel while moored in port without having to dry-dock the vessel.
